Scott Johnston authored most of the plans at Uphill Athlete. If you already own one of the older UA plans, continue to use it. It’s a good plan. However, many of them were due for an overhaul. Scott and the Evoke Endurance coaches have revised, updated, and improved the old plans and present them here at unbeatable prices. The principles embedded in these plans have enabled thousands of mountain athletes to achieve success.

Not everyone can afford to hire one of our outstanding coaches. Not everyone can read our detailed training manuals, Training for the New Alpinism and Training for the Uphill Athlete, and feel confident that they can write their own training plan. So, we’ve created these Stock Training Plans. These plans are not customized to any individual athlete.

To maximize the benefit of any stock training plan, you should understand how to manage your training load and recovery. The books mentioned above, the articles, podcasts and the forum on this website are invaluable resources to help you coach yourself to success.
