    Hey,

Sorry to have not replied. I ended up returning the Vertical because the daily HR monitoring for purposes of recovery and stress were so bad it was unusable. I was only able to use Zonesense a couple times for incline treadmill workouts and didn’t get a good enough sense of it to say whether it was useful or not. Hopefully other folks will be able to try it out and give an assessment.

    Be well,

I just purchased a Suunto Vertical watch and am planning to use ZoneSense for my incline treadmill and ski touring workouts. Will post back here in a few weeks after I’ve gotten a feel for how well it’s actually predicting my zones.

Thank you Scott. Makes perfect sense. As strength seems to be more of my weakness than aerobic capacity, I’ll consider a Max Strength period with a focus on single-leg exercises but will remember that it’s not totally necessary as long as I plan General Strength and Muscular Endurance into my base period. Thanks again!
