Hi Evoke team,
I’m a 39 year old man. About 2 years ago I started aerobic training. I began with the Uphill Athlete 8-week Mountaineering course (repeated a few times) and then this year I did the Evoke 24-week Mountaineering course before climbing Mt. Shasta and Mt. Baker in the summer.
I decided to redo the aerobic assessment test and just wanted to get some opinions.
Treadmill was set at 15 incline (max) and 2.4 speed. My aerobic system seems to take longer than most to come online (usually 25-30 mins to stabilize).
When I tested last year, I just ran it on a flat treadmill. I think my results said the top of my zone 2 was somewhere in the 144-147 range, and top of zone 3 was about 167, with my max at 180.
Do you think the top of my zone 2 is still in the 144-147 range? I know the drift was pretty low on this past test. Perhaps I should do it again at 2.5 or 2.6 speed.
Thanks!

Thanks for writing in with your test results. Running and uphill hiking tests commonly give different drift results. This hiking test shows almost no drift, so redoing it at a slightly higher speed would not hurt.
