Vault Classic: Vince Paikowski won the Best Ranger Competition in 2020, using EvokeEndurance training principles. Here, Scott Johnston talks with Vince about his background, and how he and his partner prepared, trained, and executed. Since then, Vince has either coached or developed training plans for most of the top-ten finishers of the Best Ranger Competition in the subsequent years.

Over the past eight years, numerous Evoke coaches have worked with individual members of US and foreign  military branches as they prepare for demanding selection processes for their various Special Operations. These selections are true ultra-endurance events that last for weeks, with the candidates navigating very rough terrain, covering long distances, and carrying heavy weight — blending physical, mental, and tactical skill with limited calories and sleep.
