Can we use the “running flat outside” test procedure for “Uphill test”? Basically, maintaining the initial heart BPM throughout the entire trail.

I have a nearby trail that spans 2.5 miles (4.35 km) with a 2050 feet ascent (636m). The incline averages at 14%, but the ascent isn’t consistent, with the second part being steeper than the first. Based on your insights, it seems that, if the GPS is functioning accurately, we should be able to obtain reliable Pa:Hr results. Could you please confirm if my understanding aligns with the principles discussed in your article?

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on this.

    Kind regards,
    Luka
