This program was written by avid backcountry skier and Canadian National Team Skimo racer Coach Kylee Toth. This 16-week program is designed to help you stay consistent with your training and improve for ski touring during the off-season. We often say, “A winter athlete is built in the summer.” If you want to maximize your fitness gains in the winter, starting to train smart, early, and often will yield you the best results in your primary sport season. This program has a big focus on building the foundation of your endurance house with ample aerobic volume, static and dynamic strength movements, and muscular endurance. If you want to transform yourself into an uphill machine this winter, this is the program to help get you there!
