Hi,
I usually track my running by hours in zone and not distance as I live in a hilly area. We’re fast approaching (nordic) skiing season here and most trails will have skiing tracks in a few weeks so I’ll have to transition to skiing. I tend to find that skiing is a lot less taxing than running. So a one hour run at top of zone 2 is a lot more taxing than an hour of skiing in the same zone/intensity. I want to keep my progress/volume somewhat stable. Is there a rule of thumb for converting run volume to ski volume? Like 1 hour of running equals 2 hours of classic skiing?
Anyone have experience with this?
Best regards,
Erik
