    Hi Evoke peolpe

im tired of building my own training and im looking at one of the mountaineering plan but dont know which to choose. I already have a decent fitness base: running 2-4 times per week, heavy strength training 2-3 times per week and been doing that for a long time. Im a former elite cyclist and still carry somewhat of an endurance base despite being quite a bit heavier then in my cycling years (175-180lbs now). Can still run a 20min 5k and sub 5min per km half marathon without pushing too much.

Im mainly training for long days out on easy multi pitch rock climbs. Im not pushing climbing grades and have fun in the 5.5-5.6 range leading right now. I’d also like to do the presidential traverse in the white mountains in a single day.

Which plan would suit my needs?

    thanks!

    Vincent:

If your goal is longer, easy multi-pitch routes and the Presi traverse, I think you would be smart to use one of our running plans.  This one will provide a good structure with progression in it.  Running will be a great way to build the aerobic base to handle long days in the mountains even those involving rock climbing.
