Hi everyone,
I just wanted to share something with the community that served me well and may be useful to other people, too.
Prerequisite
If you perform your drift tests by running in circles whilst keeping your heart rate constant (similar to a MAF-Test) the following Excel tool can help you to calculate your drift. The necessary formulas are included, so you can easily adopt them.Short background
I noticed that 60min close to my AeT is currently quite exausting for me, so I had to find a way to shorten the test but keep it comparable to a 60min test. Therefore I developed this tool. You don’t have to hit the 60min mark exactly, you can go longer or shorter. The tool will calculate the projected drift after 60min for you.Use the tool as you like, if you have questions feel free to ask, and if you improve it please share the improvements again! 🙂
Happy testing!

Thank you for sharing this tool. Was there a link or an excel attachment?

I tried to attach a Microsoft Excel file, but …
From my perspective it makes sense to not allow .xlsx files in a forum for security reasons. I can send you the file via email if you want to put it somewhere on the evoke endurance webpage for the community to download it.
It is mainly the formulas that are worth sharing. It took me some hours to figure out the solution to the mathematical problem so I hope sharing them saves other people’s time and effort.
And I think it is nice to drift test, without the need for a smart watch, without a training peaks account, without uploading your private data to the cloud, … it is simple to use and on your local laptop. 🙂
