Hi Tomas,

Here are some books that were recommended to me and I found them very useful:
– Supertraining by Yuri Verkhoshansky and Mel Siff – very dense
– Periodization, Theory and Methodology of Training by Tudor Bompa and Carlo Buzzichelli – also very dense
– Special Strength Training Manual for Coaches by Yuri Verkhoshansky and Natalia Verkhoshansky
– The Block Training System by Yuri Verkhoshansky – summarizes the Special Strength Training
– Science of Winning by Jan Olbrecht – great information regarding lactate testing
– Science of Running by Steve Magness – he also has a newer book (Do Hard Things) not running related but maybe useful more on the mental side
– A Scientific Approach to the Marathon by Renato Canova – hard to find but very good information on Canova’s training approach plus quick read
– Modern Training and Physiology by John Davis

Hope this helps.

Cheers,
Radu
