Meet Anna Demonte

Anna DeMonte is a professional mountain athlete, endurance coach, and former NCAA Division I swimmer who qualified for the U.S. Olympic Trials in 2012 and 2016. After over a decade of competitive swimming at the national level, she transitioned into competitive road cycling. After winning the GC in the Georgia Cycling Grand Prix in 2018, she was invited to a domestic professional cycling team. Just before her pro debut, she suffered a herniated disc in her back and subsequent CSF leak. After a long recovery, she moved to Utah and made the switch to mountain sports, where she’s since built a reputation for speed and efficiency in both trail running and ski mountaineering.

Her accomplishments include setting the fastest known time (FKT) on Mont Blanc in 2024, the women’s ski record from Chamonix to the summit and back, and posting other fast times on demanding alpine-style objectives that blend technical terrain, endurance, and high altitude.

Anna holds a B.S. in Data Analytics and brings a methodical, metrics-driven approach to coaching. Her philosophy emphasizes aerobic development, durability, and confidence in technical mountain environments, especially for athletes with ambitious goals beyond the trailhead.

She lives in the Wasatch Mountains and splits her time between the U.S. and Europe. She’s passionate about helping athletes train with intention, move efficiently through the mountains, and build long-term sustainability in endurance sport.
